Terms of service
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. The service
Turno provides an AI assistant that answers calls and chats for restaurants, takes reservations, manages tables and related tasks (“the service”). These terms apply to restaurants and businesses that open an account (“you”). By opening an account you accept them.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the people you invite to your account and for keeping credentials confidential. Tell us at hello@turno.ai if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. What Turno does and does not do
Turno answers on your behalf using the information you provide and the rules you set. It does not guarantee that every booking will be honoured by a guest, that every answer will be correct, or that it will confirm anything you have not made available to it. Anything it cannot confirm is passed to your team. You remain responsible for your menu, prices, allergen information, hours and policies, and for keeping them up to date in Turno.
4. Guests and their data
You are the controller of your guests’ data; Turno processes it on your instructions under our privacy policy and data-processing terms. You are responsible for any notice or consent your local law requires for call handling or recording, and for answering your guests’ data requests; we will help you do so.
5. Acceptable use
You will not use the service for anything unlawful, to mislead guests about who or what is answering when the law requires disclosure, to send unsolicited marketing, or to interfere with the service or other customers. We may suspend an account that puts guests, other customers or the service at risk, and will tell you why.
6. Phone numbers and telephony
Numbers provisioned through Turno remain assigned to your account while it is active and in good standing. Porting a number in or out follows the carrier’s process and timelines. Calls are carried by third-party carriers; emergency calling is not supported through Turno numbers.
7. Fees
Fees are those quoted to you in writing, billed monthly in advance unless agreed otherwise. Usage-based items (telephony minutes, messages) are billed in arrears. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice. Unpaid invoices may lead to suspension after notice.
8. Availability and support
We aim for the service to be available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation; maintenance and third-party outages happen. We provide support by email during business hours and will tell you about material incidents affecting your account.
9. Intellectual property
Turno and its software remain ours. Your content (menus, knowledge, transcripts, bookings) remains yours; you grant us the licence needed to run the service. We may use aggregated, de-identified information to improve the service.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim in a year is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous twelve months, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or where the law does not allow it.
11. Term and ending
Either party may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice; during the first cohort there is no minimum term. On termination you can export your bookings and transcripts for 30 days, after which we delete them as described in the privacy policy.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms with 30 days’ notice; continued use after that date is acceptance. Contact hello@turno.ai with any question about these terms.
